A wide-eyed rumination on the marvels of the Made-World, by photographer and sometimes poet,Kirk Jordan...
with special attention given to the ongoing artistry of the eternal Word.
The original Mighty Works Project rolled out in 2003 as an e-mail sent to friends. Now, thanks to Google and Blogger I can share my passion with a bunch folks I'll probably never meet. If however, you want on the e-mail send, with slighty larger pictures, please contact Kirk c/o: mightyworks@conwaycorp.net
The goal of this project is simple-- to highlight the ongoing, manifold, and MIGHTY WORKS of God in our midst, and to encourage all persons everywhere to acknowledge Him as both our creator and sustainer.
On a smaller note: It is also my goal that people enjoy the art of photography, and take delight in the natural world.
Kirk Jordan is a musician's musician who lives with his wife and three daughters in Central Arkansas.
People who know Kirk, do not think of him as a musician. That is because Kirk does not play any known instruments. (He does, however, hear the most incredible music inside his head --- Something like Arabian-Celtic Rock, or the older hymns as sung by the trees.)
As a musician who can not play any instruments, Kirk is forced to work out the music in his head through other means. He is a photographer by trade, and a poet by disposition. Beyond that, Jordan was recently named a "walking repository of old-man jokes."
Unless otherwise noted, all pictures on this site are copywrited by Kirk Jordan. If you wish to "borrow" a picture here or there for your non-commercial blog, you may do so with appropriate credit and link info. Students may likewise copy pictures for reports.
In as much as these are low resolution scans, they make for pretty poor prints. I would gladly sell you a fine print at a reasonable price.
